Cliff, an OCCA priest, woodworker, photographer and technician, has chosen some photos from his artistic portfolio for Sofia. On the theme of this particular edition, the photo above depicts a father teaching his son how to lay masonry. Of this photo, Cliff says:
It was shot on a Habitat for Humanity global build. The local chapter went to Guatemala once a year and I went on a couple of trips to document [their work]. Houses in Guatemala are built with cement blocks, instead of wood, because of the termites, and make heavy use of rebar because of the earthquakes. I love how hard the boy is concentrating.
