Sea of works #2 Everything we read in the papers about Zimbabwe is depressing - so here's a story about faith and works in the heart of darkness.
Inez Hussey runs a centre offering a whole education to physically disabled children from the age of 4 to 18.
There's nothing else like it, anywhere in the country.
Students from all over Zimbabwe whose disabilities often make them outcasts from their family and community leave with an educatuion, practical skills, and a new confidence in their ability to survive.
But the Centre is threatened. The desperate situation in Zimbabwe means it has minimal support from government or official agencies. Rampant inflation has made it all but impossible to meet bills for staff salaries, fuel, transport, electricity and even basic food. The Centre is looking for a faith community or charity in Britain which might consider adopting it and raising funds. "| would do all the hard work," says Inez, "but we do need outside help".
