This year marks the 80th anniversary of Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s execution by the Nazis. A Lutheran pastor and theologian, he opposed the regime and joined a plot to assassinate Hitler. A new film portrays his life as heroic, but fabricates events. This summation encourages deeper exploration of Bonhoeffer’s true influence and theology.
