We seldom walk into the night these days although we note the progress of the moon and sometimes we linger on a summer evening loath to miss the minute which comes before darkness. The welcome sun breaks through our dreams love never ceases it merely changes as it grows and the light of the moon shines through the window on our sleeping forms.
Born and bred in London, Anne Beresford now lives in Suffolk. Her Collected Poems were published by Katabasis (London) in 2006 and reprinted in 2012.
